Prime Minister Albin Kurti has wished all Muslim believers a blessed beginning of the month of Ramadan.

“Starting today, Muslim believers aim to improve themselves through discipline of mind and body, and to improve society through themselves. Through fasting, the month of Ramadan teaches us that sacrifice is a virtue, challenges are opportunities, and good deeds are blessings.”

Kurti’s message:

“Starting today, Muslim believers aim to improve themselves through discipline of mind and body, and to improve society through themselves. Through fasting, the month of Ramadan teaches us that sacrifice is a virtue, challenges are opportunities, and good deeds are blessings.

Therefore, let us look around us and not turn a blind eye to those in need. Let us be united and compassionate towards one another, because this is the highest level of devotion for which fasting has been prescribed, so that the well-fed remember the hungry and the wealthy care for the poor.

I hope this month passes in peace and prosperity, that hearts unite in faith and love, that prayers are accepted for the happiness of every individual, our entire people, and the world.

From the heart, I wish all Muslims at home and abroad blessed and prosperous days of Ramadan!

May your fast be easy!”
