The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with representatives of the Jacques Delors Institute in Paris, one of Europe’s leading think tanks founded by one of the key architects of the European Union, Jacques Delors.

Kurti stated that the meeting focused on geopolitical developments and their impact on the Western Balkans, emphasizing Kosovo’s perspective on the need for a decisive and merit-based approach to the EU enlargement process.

“I used the opportunity to highlight the importance of a firm and merit-driven EU enlargement policy as a key to Europe’s security in the face of current geopolitical risks,” Kurti wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

During the discussion, Kurti also spoke about Kosovo’s defense investments, the constitutional and practical protection of human and minority rights, and the inseparable link between economic agendas and democratic principles.

The meeting is part of Kurti’s broader diplomatic engagements in Europe, where he continues to advocate for Kosovo’s integration into the European Union and for a greater Western focus on stability and democratic development in the Balkans.
