The prestigious American newspaper The New York Times published an article today discussing the religious conversions happening in Kosovo, where individuals are converting from Islam to Catholicism.

The newspaper provided different perspectives on this issue, which has sparked reactions and debates in Kosovo, featuring interviews with religious leaders, historians, and citizens of Kosovo.

As part of this coverage, The New York Times conducted an interview in Prishtina with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

In the interview, Kurti stated that religion has never been of primary importance for Albanian identity. He added that religions have come and gone, but the Albanian people have remained.

“For us, religions have come and gone, but we are still here. For Albanians, when it comes to identity, religion has never been of primary importance,” Kurti said.
