Prime Minister Albin Kurti addressed the emigrants with a post on Facebook, where he informed them that from Monday, those who come by vehicle will receive a free insurance policy valid for one month, at any of the entry border points, Express reports.

Kurti welcomed them to his homeland, while saying that Kosovo welcomes them with open arms.

“Those of you who will come by vehicle, from Monday you can get a free insurance policy valid for one month, at any of the entry border points. Welcome to the homeland! Enjoy your vacation!”, Kurti wrote.

Otherwise, the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, announced yesterday that together with the Minister Xhelal Sveçla, the Governor of the CBK and the Kosovo Insurance Bureau, they signed the agreement which operationalizes the subsidy from the Government of the border police for our compatriots.

“Starting from Monday, July 1, all compatriots who travel to Kosovo with passenger vehicles will be able to obtain the insurance policy for free at any of the entry border points. The subsidized policy will be valid for 1 month from the day of issue/entry in Kosovo and is subsidized only for non-commercial vehicles for passengers, up to 9 seats”, announced Murati.

He clarified that the subsidy does not include border policies with a validity period other than 1 month, as well as other vehicles such as buses, trucks, motorcycles, etc.

“Also, policies that are obtained at BKS offices within the territory, and not at the border entry points, are not covered by the subsidy,” wrote Murati.
