Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with the leader of the Democratic Action Party, Bakir Izetbegović, today in Sarajevo, where they discussed various topics, including the relationship between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo, as well as opportunities to enhance cooperation in areas such as economy, culture, and security, reports vijesti.ba.

Izetbegović welcomed the decision of the Kosovo government to lift the visa regime for Bosnian citizens traveling to Kosovo, a move that is expected to significantly strengthen bilateral relations. Both leaders highlighted the positive impact the visa waiver would have on fostering closer ties between the two nations.

The two leaders also emphasized the importance of fulfilling the obligations set by the Western Balkans under the Berlin Process, which aims to facilitate the free movement of people, capital, goods, and services.

A key point of their discussions was the ongoing geopolitical developments and foreign malign influences that threaten regional stability. Both Kurti and Izetbegović expressed concern over external powers attempting to destabilize the Western Balkans.
