The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, participated in an event organized by the Embassy of Croatia in Kosovo to mark the National Day of the Republic of Croatia.
In his speech, Kurti highlighted the Croat community in Kosovo and the Albanian diaspora in Croatia, noting that both serve as bridges of mutual respect and cooperation between the two nations.
“Kosovo and Croatia share deep ties — of history, friendship, and common values. Croatia was among the first countries to recognize Kosovo’s independence. Your support — political, moral, and practical — has been unwavering ever since. For this, we are deeply grateful,” Kurti was quoted as saying, according to the Office of the Prime Minister.
He extended his congratulations to President Zoran Milanović, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, and all Croatian citizens.
Kurti concluded by emphasizing that Kosovo and Croatia, together, can contribute to a free, democratic region firmly anchored in Euro-Atlantic values. He also stated that both countries will continue to deepen bilateral ties in trade, education, culture, and defense.
