Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has announced that the Kosovo passport is now stronger than ever according to the Henley Passport Index annual report.

Kosovo has risen from 108th place in 2021 to 65th place in the latest ranking. Compared to last year, the country moved up from 68th place.

“Not only is this the best result ever in this annual index and proof of the strengthening of our statehood, but the ranking also reflects our government’s efforts during this mandate: from visa liberalization with the Schengen area to intensive diplomatic work with many countries worldwide to enable free movement,” Kurti stated.

He emphasized that the Kosovo passport, increasingly recognized internationally, allows citizens to travel visa-free to more countries, represent the republic with dignity, and further strengthen Kosovo’s global standing.
