Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, stated that the success of the first 100 MW solar auction has placed Kosovo on the map for renewable energy investments in Europe.
In a Facebook post, the Prime Minister announced that procedures have already started for the first wind energy auction, also with a capacity of 100 MW.
“The success of the first 100 MW solar auction has placed Kosovo on the map of renewable energy investments in Europe. We have now started procedures for the first wind auction, also with a 100 MW capacity, with support from IFC and USAID,” Kurti wrote.
“We are building new capacities, advancing our economy, increasing energy security, and protecting the interests of the state,” he added.
