Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at the ceremony for the parade of KSF soldiers and Kosovo police in honor of the 25th anniversary of our country’s liberation, stated that the Kosovo Army has its origins in the KLA, which had the legendary commander, Adem Jashari, as its leader.
In his speech, Kurti said he is happy to see the significant progress of the KSF, adding that this has happened thanks to the doubling of the budget and the tripling of investments in weaponry.
“I am very pleased to see the great progress of the KSF. This has been achieved thanks to more than doubling the budget, recruiting new soldiers, tripling the investment in armaments, with Bayraktar drones. The Kosovo Army has its origins in the KLA, where Adem Jashari was the leader,” he stated.
At the state ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of Kosovo’s liberation, Kurti added that one-third of the soldiers will parade in the capital’s squares.
“I would like this parade of soldiers and police officers on this day to serve as a motivation to renew our feelings for freedom. Kosovo’s freedom came through the blood of martyrs and martyrs, freedom was achieved amidst the suffering of political prisoners, led by Adem Demaçi,” he added.
Kurti also noted that Kosovo’s freedom came through the help of NATO forces, emphasizing that Kosovo is getting closer to membership in this alliance every day.
