During his stay in Washington, Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, met with Republican Congresswoman from Florida, Kat Cammack.
The meeting focused on defense cooperation between Kosovo and the United States. Special emphasis was placed on the joint deployment mission of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) with the U.S. Army in Kuwait, as well as Kosovo’s participation for the third consecutive time as a host country in the large-scale military exercise Defender Europe 25, which involved 25,000 troops from 29 allied and partner nations.
Another topic of discussion was economic and trade cooperation.
“The Prime Minister highlighted the decision of the Government of Kosovo to remove customs tariffs on all products originating from the United States, for which Congresswoman Cammack expressed her gratitude. He also underscored major infrastructure investments being made in preparation for the 2030 Mediterranean Games, presenting significant opportunities for U.S. companies,” the Prime Minister’s Office stated.
Kurti and Cammack also discussed the ongoing threat posed by Russia to regional and global peace and security.
