Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on Saturday on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
According to footage released by Radio Television of Kosovo, Kurti informed Plenković that following the recent elections, his government now holds a solid majority, signaling greater political stability and continuity in Pristina.
Plenković congratulated Kurti on his new mandate, and the two leaders exchanged formal greetings before entering a reserved hall for their bilateral discussions.
While the meeting was brief, it underscores Kosovo’s efforts to strengthen regional ties with NATO-aligned neighbors amid ongoing security and geopolitical concerns in the Western Balkans, including the recent trilateral defense cooperation between Kosovo, Albania, and Croatia, which Serbia has criticized.
Observers note that Kurti’s stable majority may enable Kosovo to deepen defense and political coordination with regional allies, reinforcing NATO-backed initiatives and contributing to broader regional stability, though tensions with Serbia remain a persistent challenge.
