The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed the new Finnish Ambassador to Kosovo, Eevamari Laaksonen, in a meeting today, extending his best wishes for success in her new role.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed gratitude for Finland’s continued support of Kosovo, before, during, and after its declaration of independence, highlighting Finland’s contributions through FINNIDA and its backing of Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
He emphasized Kosovo’s democratic and economic progress, describing it as one of the most advanced democracies in the Western Balkans and a country fully aligned with the European Union’s foreign and security policies.
Thanking Finland for its support in state-building and strengthening democratic institutions, Kurti reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to deepening cooperation in education, innovation, technology, as well as defense and security.
