Following the conclusion of the 12th Berlin Process Summit, held in London, Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on the sidelines of the event.
According to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Kurti expressed his high appreciation for the UK’s leadership and for hosting the summit, emphasizing the importance of the United Kingdom’s role in strengthening regional cooperation, peace, and security.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the main themes of the summit, including security, economic growth, and migration, as well as ways to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest such as energy, infrastructure, education, defense, and security.
Kurti particularly highlighted defense cooperation, underlining that Kosovo continues to invest in strengthening its security sector.
He also thanked the United Kingdom for its decision to extend the deployment of British Armed Forces in the NATO peacekeeping mission (KFOR) in Kosovo for at least three more years.
