Kurti Becomes Most Voted Leader in Kosovo’s History with Over 337,000 Votes

The final vote count from Kosovo’s February 9 elections has confirmed Albin Kurti as the most voted leader in the country’s history, surpassing previous records.

Kurti, the leader of Lëvizja Vetëvendosje and candidate for Prime Minister, secured 337,101 votes, making him the highest-voted leader in Kosovo’s electoral history. He surpasses the previous record held by President Vjosa Osmani, who received 300,756 votes in the 2021 elections.

The runner-up in the race was Bedri Hamza of the PDK, who gathered 173,438 votes, followed by Lumir Abdixhiku of LDK with 146,352 votes. The AAK-NISMA coalition candidate, Ramush Haradinaj, received 44,990 votes.

The distribution of votes included:

🔹 Regular ballots: Kurti (290,862), Hamza (164,459), Abdixhiku (126,297), Haradinaj (42,658).
🔹 Conditional voting: Kurti (4,318), Hamza (2,051), Abdixhiku (1,347), Haradinaj (453).
🔹 Special needs voting: Kurti (621), Hamza (499), Abdixhiku (389), Haradinaj (170).
🔹 Postal voting: Kurti (30,508), Hamza (5,375), Abdixhiku (17,358), Haradinaj (1,477).
🔹 Diplomatic representation voting: Kurti (10,792), Hamza (1,054), Abdixhiku (961), Haradinaj (232).

These results confirm Vetëvendosje’s strong electoral presence and mark a historic moment in Kosovo’s political landscape.
