Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, praised the principled, just, and beneficial decision made by the Kosovo National Team to halt their match against Romania after chants of “Serbia, Serbia” echoed in Bucharest Stadium during Friday’s UEFA Nations League game.
On Sunday, Kurti met with the President of the Football Federation of Kosovo, Agim Ademi, the National Team coach, Franco Foda, and Kosovo’s football players.
“Football is not just a game; it is also representation. That is why today I met with our players, who make us proud every time they step onto the field, to congratulate them on their beautiful and dominant play against Romania and to express my full solidarity with their principled, just, and beneficial stance for both Kosovo and football,” said Kurti.
