The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, extended his wishes to all the women of Kosovo for International Women’s Day.
In a Facebook post, he thanked all the women for their contributions to the state and society.
“Today, on International Women’s Day, women deserve flowers, but also more attention to their demands. To their life needs that arise from inequality. We have kept this in mind since the first day of our government, and we fail only if we forget it.
The results of our government regarding gender equality are never spoken of with pride but with full responsibility and obligation. Not only the concrete achievements but almost every decision in our governance considers how it affects the lives of women and girls in Kosovo,” wrote Kurti.
Among other things, he added that gender equality is not yet achieved.
“Equality is our daily work as a government. The results belong to the citizens of the Republic. As processes, they have been most delayed by women. Thank you very much to all for the contribution you make to make Kosovo better and more successful every day! And thank you for the inspiration! In retrospect and in the present. And much more for the future,” wrote Kurti.
