“I cannot make such a qualification,” said Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti when asked how he would rate his relations with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama from 1 to 10. He stated that in terms of a shared vision, he has no differences with Rama.
“I cannot quantify it that way, but I can say that we have excellent relations between the two governments. We have created a common energy market, opened 26 new border crossings for 200,000 residents in the area between Kosovo and Albania, held two joint government meetings resulting in 58 new agreements, and we are also co-financing projects in culture and economy. Kosovo has two dedicated customs offices in Porto Romano and Durrës. We will also develop the Pristina-Durrës railway. In terms of developmental projects, work plans, and shared vision, we have no differences. However, you should keep in mind that where we agree, it is never news. Sometimes when we have differences, that becomes news and is exploited mercilessly,” Kurti said in an interview at the Albanian-American Cultural Center in Struga, USA, published on Saturday.
Kurti noted that the most exploited difference between him and Rama is regarding the “Open Balkans” initiative.
“I believe the difference that has been most exploited is that regarding the Open Balkans, as there is an effort to unjustly place that difference in every issue and topic,” he said.
