Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has started consultations with political parties representing minority communities regarding the formation of the new government, following the certification of the February 9th election results and the commencement of the constitutional deadlines for forming the legislature and new government.
According to the Prime Minister’s office, Kurti met today with Emilija Rexhepi, the leader of the New Democratic Party (NDS).
Rexhepi confirmed her full readiness to continue cooperation with Vetëvendosje, the winner of the last elections.
“Rexhepi confirmed her willingness to continue cooperation with Vetëvendosje, supporting Kurti in the process of forming the new government,” the statement from the Prime Minister’s office read.
Constitutional Session Set for April 15th
On a related note, President Vjosa Osmani has scheduled the Constitutional Assembly session for April 15th, marking the next key step in the governmental process.
