The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has sent a message of support to the Kosovo national football team.
Kurti emphasized that despite the 1–0 loss to Turkey on Tuesday evening at the Fadil Vokrri Stadium, the performance of Kosovo’s players was commendable.
“Greetings President, please accept and convey my deep thanks to the entire technical staff, and especially to coach Franco Foda, for the performance during the World Cup qualifying campaign. I know yesterday’s loss hurts.
Especially when we were so close. But the work, dedication, and seriousness built within this team are not lost in a single match. You have created a team that gave confidence to an entire nation. That is much greater than the result. However, moving forward, the final result is what we must focus on. Please stay strong on the path toward the European Championship.
We are very close, and we are together every step of the way,” Kurti wrote in the letter, which was published by the Football Federation of Kosovo.
