Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with Acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, visited the “Kosova B” power plant to mark the completion of rehabilitation and modernization works on the B2 unit.
Kurti stated that the modernization of this production unit “guarantees long-term stability in the electricity supply” across the country. He added that the production capacity has increased by 35 megawatts, making the system more efficient, stable, and secure.
The acting prime minister emphasized that “the numbers show there’s no reason for concern,” pointing to Kosovo’s strong economic performance over the past four years.
“In the last four years, the average economic growth has been 6 percent, never dropping below 4 percent. In the second quarter of this year, it was 4.58 percent. That means we’re still not falling below 4 percent. Let’s see how the third quarter report will look, but so far things are good. International reports prepare us for more challenges, but for now, the numbers show there’s no reason for concern,” said Kurti.
