Albin Kurti is expected to hold a press conference today at 16:00, the Government of Kosovo has announced.

The announcement was made by government spokesperson Arlind Manxhuka, who confirmed that the prime minister will address the media later today.

The press conference comes shortly after Kurti did not attend the consultative meeting called by President Vjosa Osmani, where political party leaders were invited to discuss the date of the upcoming elections.

Earlier today, Osmani held talks with party representatives following her decree dissolving the Assembly, which set the stage for new elections in Kosovo.

Kurti’s absence from the meeting has added to the ongoing political tensions surrounding the election process and constitutional interpretations regarding the dissolution of the parliament.

More details are expected to emerge during the prime minister’s press conference later today.
