Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti will travel to Sarajevo on December 5, where he is scheduled to participate in a conference organized by the non-governmental organization Independent Intellectuals Association Krug 99 the following day.
This news was confirmed for Radio Free Europe by the leader of the organization, Adil Kullenović, who added that the Kosovo Prime Minister will deliver a speech at the conference.
This matter has also been commented on by the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
Dodik declared that Kurti’s visit to Sarajevo will significantly complicate relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We will not allow the entry of Albanians from that region with an ID card because it would imply some recognition of so-called Kosovo. In this regard, we have learned that Kurti is coming to Sarajevo. When we intervened and said that this would spark serious problems between us in Bosnia and Herzegovina, they thought of inviting some non-governmental organization to some session,” Dodik said, according to RTRS.
In October, Kurti had declared during a summit of the Berlin Process that Kosovo would allow citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to enter Kosovo with an ID card, starting from January 1, 2025.
