Today, Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed Ambassador William Walker, the former head of the OSCE Kosovo Verification Mission, to his office. Walker was accompanied by his wife.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (ZKM), the two discussed recent political developments in Kosovo, including the outcome of the elections, the functioning of national institutions, and the broader challenges facing Kosovo and the region.
“The Prime Minister expressed his consistent pleasure in meeting and conversing with Ambassador Walker, thanking him for his historic role in support of the Kosovar people and for his ongoing commitment to truth and justice,” the statement reads.
Walker remains a symbolic and respected figure in Kosovo for his outspoken condemnation of Serbian atrocities during the 1999 conflict, a stance that helped draw international attention to the region.
