Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has called on allies to pressure Belgrade to dismantle Serbian operational bases around the border with Kosovo.

“Serbia is very aggressive towards Kosovo. First, by not recognizing our country as an independent Republic, as the overwhelming majority of the world does. Specifically, 28 out of 32 NATO members and 22 out of 27 European countries.

But, beyond that, they are also engaged in hybrid warfare and at the same time have these military exercises near our border.

They have 48 forward operational bases around the border of Kosovo, waiting for a new window of opportunity. What we ask from our Western democratic partners is to put pressure on Belgrade to dismantle these 48 forward operational bases, each of which has between 50 to 150 soldiers and officers, equipped with Russian and Chinese military equipment, ammunition, and armaments.

Politically, Serbia is similar to the Russian Federation. They truly do not properly recognize, de facto and de jure, their neighbors,” Kurti said on CNN.
