At his invitation, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, along with the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development, and Dialogue, Besnik Bislimi, hosted a meeting today with ambassadors, chargé d’affaires, heads of diplomatic missions, and deputy ambassadors accredited in Kosovo. The meeting aimed to inform and discuss the kinetic attack on the evening of November 29 in Varagë, Zubin Potok, targeting critical infrastructure, specifically the main Ibër-Lepenc canal.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that the goal of the attack was to damage the production of electricity and the water supply for much of the country. This marked the third attack against Kosovo in 72 hours, following incidents on November 26 and 28 at the Zveçan police station and near the municipal building.

Kurti drew parallels to recent attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, which had been targeted by Russian missiles. He noted that indications suggest this attack was carried out by professional groups supported and directed by Serbia.

The Prime Minister informed the diplomats that the police are conducting investigations, with suspects already arrested in connection with the attack. Material evidence, including weapons, explosives, uniforms, and insignias of Russian military units, has been secured.

He stressed that criminals and terrorists will face justice under the democratic and independent Republic of Kosovo’s laws.

Kurti also highlighted the importance of arresting and extraditing Milovan Radoičić, a key criminal and terrorist who remains at large in Serbia. He continues to organize and plan attacks on Kosovo with the support of the Serbian government and President Aleksandar Vučić. Kurti accused Serbia of providing weapons, finances, and logistics to terrorist groups, leading to ongoing attacks, including the recent terrorist act on the Ibër-Lepenc canal.

The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to Kosovo’s international partners for their continued support.
