KFOR has announced that Latvian soldiers from the Regional Command East have conducted routine patrols in the municipality of Zubin Potok.
In a statement shared by KFOR on Facebook, it is mentioned that these efforts are part of their mission to ensure a calm and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo.
“Latvian soldiers assigned to the Regional Command East of the NATO-led KFOR mission carried out a routine patrol in the municipality of Zubin Potok. These efforts are part of KFOR’s daily mission to guarantee a calm and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo.”
“KFOR continues to fulfill its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999 – to contribute to a calm and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR is the third security responder, following the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law Mission (EULEX), with whom we work closely in coordination,” the KFOR statement concludes.
