Twenty-seven years ago, Serbia killed six young Serbs in a café in the city of Peja in order to place the blame on Albanians. However, regarding the case known as “Panda,” lawyer Arbër Jashari says that those responsible for the crime have never been held accountable.

Nevertheless, Jashari emphasizes that the “Panda” case remains a historical lesson that Kosovo must never forget.

“The ‘Panda’ case is a historical lesson that Kosovo must never forget. Today marks 27 years since the ‘Panda’ case. The murder of six young Serbs, nearly three decades ago, in a café in the city of Peja — carried out by the Serbian state itself with the aim of blaming Albanians — most clearly exposes the mindset of a dangerous, barbaric, and diabolical policy pursued by this state against Albanians. This is a historical lesson that Kosovo must never forget. That the crime was committed by Serbs was acknowledged about two years ago even by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. Nevertheless, it remains deeply regrettable that the perpetrators of this crime, although known to the state, have never been brought to justice,” Jashari wrote.
