Prishtina, July 16, 2025 – RKS News

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has announced that it will submit the Supreme Court’s decision to the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, reinforcing its ongoing legal efforts against members of the ruling Vetëvendosje Movement.

The decision by the Supreme Court, issued earlier today, declared unlawful the administrative instruction issued by acting Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati. The Court found that Murati’s directive regarding fiscal cash registers was in violation of the law, citing a constitutional breach due to Murati simultaneously holding both legislative and executive powers—as a Member of Parliament and a Minister.

LDK stated that the Court’s decision will be submitted as additional evidence in support of the 17 criminal complaints the party filed on May 8, 2025, against Vetëvendosje deputies. These complaints allege multiple violations of constitutional and legal standards by government officials.

In an official notice to the media, LDK invited journalists to attend the formal handover, scheduled for Wednesday at 11:30 AM at the premises of the Special Prosecution.

“We will present this decision as proof within the 17 criminal charges we have previously filed,” reads the party’s announcement.

This latest move by LDK marks an escalation in the ongoing political and legal standoff between the opposition and the ruling party, particularly in the context of mounting accusations of institutional overreach and constitutional violations.
