The leader of the NISMA Socialdemokrate, Fatmir Limaj, has confirmed that he will participate in the political meeting called by acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, following the recent ruling by the Constitutional Court, which deemed the parliamentary deadlock as a situation that must be resolved through a political agreement within 30 days.

In a statement, Limaj recalled that NISMA had made its position clear immediately after the elections—that for the sake of national interests, his party was ready to engage in dialogue with any political leader.

“Today, as all political leaders are invited to the same table by the leader of Vetëvendosje and are now recognizing the need for a political agreement, it’s important to recall that this is not a new path—it’s the very path we proposed months ago!

A path that, at the time, was contested, underestimated, criticized, and even accompanied by public smear campaigns,” Limaj wrote.

His message appeared to be indirectly addressed to AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj, who previously criticized Limaj’s willingness to meet with Kurti, but has now delegated MP Time Kadriaj to attend the meeting on AAK’s behalf.

Limaj emphasized that the Constitutional Court ruling clearly calls for a political solution, not obstruction or tactical stalling.

“The Court made it clear: The election of the Speaker of the Assembly is a process that requires political agreement—not blockage, not tactics, and not public theatrics. Unfortunately, all this time was wasted on accusations, divisions, and political hypocrisy. Now everything is clear. Our stance has been correct, dignified, and in service of the country.”

In conclusion, Limaj confirmed his participation in the meeting hosted by Kurti:

“Kosovo needs agreement, not political theater. It needs leadership, not calculations,” Limaj concluded.
