Fatmir Limaj, leader of the NISMA Socialdemokrate party, stressed that everyone must take responsibility amid the ongoing political deadlock in Kosovo’s Assembly. He emphasized that the only solution is through political dialogue and agreements.
“I believe everyone should be called to their responsibility. There are no other political forces in Kosovo besides the ones currently present. Tomorrow, in any process or elections, the same political forces will remain. The only path for Kosovo as a serious state is through political dialogue and agreements, so that partners choose each other and this meaningless situation comes to an end,” Limaj said.
Limaj highlighted the urgent need for a functional government:
“Kosovo faces many challenges, problems, and urgent work. For six months now, we have had no effective government. People and the country need leadership. Major projects and new development dynamics await Kosovo. I call on all to move away from personal and political egos, which I consider unreasonable, and start fulfilling the mandate given by the citizens.”
When asked about any invitations for talks, Limaj responded:
“For now, there is no concrete step or invitation except those seen in the media. Naturally, we are ready to contribute as much as our political power allows, but the major political forces carry the main responsibility to find solutions.”
