Following the meeting with political leaders, the head of NISMA Socialdemokrate, Fatmir Limaj, stated that the solution to the crisis cannot come solely through the Constitutional Court’s judgment. He called for a clear political agreement.
Call for Continued Dialogue
“This meeting came after three months. The discussion focused more on interpreting the judgment and less on the political crisis and its resolution,” Limaj said.
He added that while the meeting was a good step, he urged for such roundtables to continue, emphasizing the importance of reaching a political agreement. According to Limaj, this is the only way to exit the institutional blockade.
“We met after the Constitutional Court’s judgment. I expressed my stance and desire, even before you and with the parties. A political roundtable is essential to find a solution. After three months, we came to this meeting. This meeting revolved around the approach to interpreting the Constitutional Court’s judgment, and less was said about the main topic: political crises and solutions through political agreement. Those who expected the judgment to resolve the crisis do not understand the court’s functioning well. The meeting itself is a good thing that happened. I expect other meetings to occur. I tried to make my contribution. I invited everyone to focus on a political agreement that immediately resolves the crisis,” Limaj concluded.
