The leader of NISMA Socialdemokrate, Fatmir Limaj, expressed strong praise for Lumir Abdixhiku, the head of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), saying that Abdixhiku has the capacity to offer the country a new political alternative.
Limaj’s remarks came following his meeting with Abdixhiku on Monday, although both leaders declined to reveal the specific topics discussed.
“Mr. Abdixhiku, as a personality and as a professional, through what he has done over the years, has the capacity to offer Kosovo a new alternative,” Limaj said during an interview on Rubikon on Klan Kosova.
He further highlighted the LDK’s legacy and experience, as well as his past collaboration with its leadership.
“He and the Democratic League of Kosovo, with the team they have and the tradition behind them, represent an important political force. We’ve had good cooperation in the past, especially with Mr. Mustafa,” Limaj added.
While Limaj did not confirm whether the meeting hinted at a possible political alliance, his comments signal openness to future cooperation with LDK, as opposition parties in Kosovo continue to seek new alignments ahead of upcoming elections.
