The Mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, has reacted to the ongoing situation within the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), stating that despite his statements being “as clear as sunlight,” the political uncertainty surrounding the Drenas branch “is not being resolved.”
He emphasized that some party figures are portraying defeat as victory and attempting to normalize the current state of affairs. According to Lladrovci, the lessons from the Drenas case have not produced the necessary reflection within the party.
Lladrovci criticized what he described as “empty lectures” from several officials, including the new party chairman Bedri Hamza, whom he accuses of attempting to equate cause and effect in the situation.
He stressed that party unity must be a commitment aimed at higher goals than the fate of a single branch or individual, noting that only through unity can PDK secure victory and bring about meaningful change in Kosovo.
Lladrovci called for a redefinition of the party’s political approach and methods, urging the use of “the language of winners with vision — without conditions and without deceit.”
He added that political shortsightedness must be removed from PDK, a party which he said was founded by heroes of war and peace, representing generations dedicated to a Kosovo aligned with Euro-Atlantic values. Otherwise, he warned, “wrongdoers and political proxies will remain the defining mark of a state-building party.”
