The Chairman of Kosovo’s Central Election Commission (CEC), Kreshnik Radoniqi, has called on all Kosovo citizens living abroad to register for postal voting in the upcoming local elections, scheduled for October 12, 2025.

In a video message, Radoniqi reminded the diaspora that the registration period for overseas voters runs from July 23 to August 29, 2025, and registration must be completed through the official CEC platform.

He stressed that the participation of the diaspora is crucial, saying that “your vote directly impacts the future of your municipalities.”

According to the CEC, voting from abroad in local elections is only possible by mail, as the General Elections Law does not permit voting in Kosovo’s diplomatic missions for this type of election. The postal voting period will be open from September 17 to October 11, 2025.
