Duško Lopandić, Vice President of Serbia Centre (SRCE) and Vice President of the European Movement in Serbia, stated that yesterday’s agreement on the coordination of pro-European parties in their dealings with EU institutions confirms that there is room for broader cooperation among “genuine fighters against the regime.”

He emphasized that the coordination agreement among pro-European parties is a step forward in the ongoing struggle for a democratic Serbia, against a “corrupt regime” that has lost legitimacy both domestically and in foreign policy.

“We are open to further cooperation to achieve a common goal – a free, normal, and democratic Serbia, where the rule of law and basic principles enshrined in the Constitution are respected, principles which the current authorities violate daily,” Lopandić said.

Yesterday, representatives of Narodni pokret Srbija (NPS), Pokret slobodnih građana (PSG), Stranka Srbija centar (SRCE), Stranka slobode i pravde (SSP), and ZLF reached an agreement in the offices of the European Movement in Serbia to coordinate pro-European actors’ engagement with the European Union (EU).

The initiative is open to all pro-European parties, organizations, and movements in Serbia.

The agreement builds on previously achieved results of pro-European coordination with the EU, including increased visibility within EU institutions and the effective dissemination of accurate information about developments in Serbia at the EU level.
