Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Mërgim Lushtaku stated today that holding snap elections would be ill-advised, attributing the current political impasse to the stubbornness of the Vetëvendosje Movement (VV).
VV Accused of Causing Distrust
Lushtaku chose not to comment extensively on the meetings between acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Nisma leader Fatmir Limaj. However, he emphasized that VV has created distrust among all parties, which he believes is the reason no agreement has been reached thus far. He further claimed that on election day, VV had “insulted” other parties.
“They know better what they discuss at their tables, but I believe that VV has brought distrust to every party, as at the end of the elections, Albin [Kurti] came out with the biggest insults for the electorate of these political parties as well,” Lushtaku told reporters.
