French President Emmanuel Macron expressed skepticism about Vladimir Putin’s readiness to end the war in Ukraine.
“When I look at the situation and the facts, I don’t see Putin as very willing to reach peace now,” Macron said following talks at the White House, according to Klankosova.tv.
However, the French leader acknowledged Donald Trump’s optimism regarding the possibility of securing a peace deal, stressing that such efforts should be taken seriously.
“If he thinks he can reach an agreement, this is great news, and we must do everything we can to make it happen,” Macron added.
