Macron and Iranian President Agree to Expedite Nuclear Negotiations

French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, during which they agreed to expedite negotiations between European powers and Iran regarding the latter’s nuclear program.

In a post on X, Macron stressed that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons and must provide guarantees regarding the peaceful nature of its intentions.

He expressed his conviction that a way exists to avoid conflicts and greater risks, emphasizing that negotiations led by France and its European partners will be accelerated to achieve this goal.
