The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, arrived in Albania for an official visit on May 17, just one day after participating in the European Political Community Summit held in Tirana.

On Saturday morning, he was welcomed at the Prime Minister’s Office by Prime Minister Edi Rama, where the two leaders shook hands and posed for an official photo before their joint press conference.

This marks Macron’s second visit to Albania in a short period, but it is the first time he is accompanied by his wife, Brigitte Macron.

At 9:30 AM, the signing of several bilateral agreements is scheduled, covering areas such as defense, tourism, and energy.

Then, around 10:00-10:15 AM, a joint statement for the media is planned from both leaders.

The agenda will continue with Rama and Macron’s participation in the international forum “Future Investment Initiative,” which is also expected to include well-known international figures such as Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump, and former Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
