French President Emmanuel Macron expressed heartfelt gratitude for Albania’s hospitality during his visit to Tirana for the European Political Community (EPC) Summit.
In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Macron addressed Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Albanian people in their native language, praising the warm welcome and the fruitful exchanges held during his stay.
“Dear @ediramaal, dear Albanians, thank you for the hospitality in Tirana and for our exchanges. The friendship between Albania and France is growing stronger through concrete achievements,” wrote the French president.
Macron emphasized France’s unwavering support for Albania’s EU ambitions, making it clear that “Albania has its place in the European Union.”
“France supports you on this path,” he concluded—sending a strong diplomatic signal of France’s endorsement of Albania’s European integration journey.
This public message reflects increasingly close ties between Albania and France, and signals a positive shift in regional dynamics, with France playing a key role in advancing EU enlargement in the Western Balkans.
