Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held phone conversations with several European leaders to coordinate international support for Ukraine. Among them was French President Emmanuel Macron.
In a post on platform X, Macron announced talks with Zelensky, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Reaffirming France’s stance against Russian aggression, Macron emphasized:
“The future of Ukraine cannot be decided without Ukrainians, and Europeans must also be part of the solution because their security depends on it.”
He added: “We remain committed to supporting Ukraine, working in the spirit of unity and building on efforts made within the Coalition of the Willing.”
These talks come at a critical diplomatic moment, just days before a scheduled summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, expected to address the future of the war in Ukraine.
