Maqedonci Confirms Full Support for Ukraine at NATO Meeting

Kosovo’s Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, participated in the 26th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at NATO, where urgent priorities for Ukraine and international commitments to support the country were discussed. During the event, Maqedonci confirmed Kosovo’s full support for Ukraine’s just cause and the country’s commitment as a partner in defending freedom and Euro-Atlantic values.

The meeting was hosted by UK Secretary of State for Defense, John Healey, and Chief of the Defence Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin. For the first time, the new US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, also participated, marking his first visit to NATO. The meeting was hosted by NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte.

During the discussions, urgent priorities for Ukraine were addressed, and the engagement of partners in supporting Ukraine’s short-term and long-term needs was emphasized. Maqedonci stressed that “the unity and commitment of this group are essential for the success of Ukraine’s victory.”

In the press conference following the meeting, Minister Maqedonci reaffirmed Kosovo’s full support for Ukraine’s just fight and the country’s role as a partner in safeguarding freedom and shared Euro-Atlantic values. He emphasized that Kosovo continues its journey alongside its partners in supporting Ukraine, reaffirming Kosovo’s commitment to ensuring peace and stability both in the region and worldwide.
