The Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, announced the first-time accreditation of non-resident defense attachés from Kosovo in several partner countries.
According to Maqedonci, this year, for the first time, defense attachés have been accredited in Slovenia, Canada, the Swiss Confederation, and the Netherlands.
“Within just one year, non-resident defense attachés have been accredited for the first time in these countries: Slovenia, Canada, the Swiss Confederation, and the Netherlands. Our military representatives are now also present in several other countries with which we have excellent bilateral cooperation, such as the USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, Turkey, Croatia, and Albania. Meanwhile, the accreditation of attachés in Italy, Japan, and the Czech Republic is in process,” Maqedonci announced in a Facebook post.
He emphasized the importance of this step for enhancing the diplomatic and operational capacity of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), as well as for strengthening international relations and strategic partnerships.
“We are expanding representation and partnerships to maintain peace and the international relations we commit to protect: a free and open rules-based order,” he further wrote.
