Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci met with U.S. Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier for a farewell meeting.
In a Facebook post, Maqedonci expressed that the United States is a key ally and partner of the Republic of Kosovo.
He further thanked Ambassador Hovenier for his commitment to Kosovo.
“By awarding him the Distinguished Service Medal, I thanked Ambassador Hovenier for his dedication to our country as the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo. During a heartfelt meeting at the conclusion of his tenure in Kosovo, Ambassador Hovenier and I discussed the fruitful cooperation between the Government of Kosovo and the U.S., particularly in the fields of defense and security. The United States is a key ally and partner of the Republic of Kosovo, both traditionally and historically. Thank you, Mr. Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier!” Maqedonci wrote.
