Pristina, March 10, 2026 – Kosovo’s Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci has reaffirmed that Kosovo’s strategic objective is membership in NATO, emphasizing that the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) aims to contribute to peace and stability.
Maqedonci made the statement during a meeting with Blanca Hereza, Acting Chief of Current Operations in the Operations Division of the NATO General Staff.
According to Maqedonci, Kosovo remains committed to close coordination and cooperation with the NATO-led KFOR mission and the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team (NALT).
“I emphasized that we continue to work with dedication to coordinate and cooperate closely with KFOR and NALT. I also reiterated that our objective is membership in NATO, so that our country and the KSF can contribute even more strongly to maintaining peace and stability. We are working toward this goal every day,” Maqedonci wrote on Facebook.
Kosovo has repeatedly stated that deepening cooperation with NATO and strengthening the KSF are key steps toward achieving its long-term goal of joining the alliance.
