Maqedonci Meets Turkish Counterpart, Discusses Military Purchases and Joint Training

Acting Minister of Defense of Kosovo, Ejup Maqedonci, met with his Turkish counterpart, Yaşar Güler, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where the two officials discussed deepening defense cooperation between Kosovo and Turkey.

Maqedonci emphasized that the partnership between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Turkey, built on mutual trust, will play a crucial role in promoting and preserving peace in the region.

“The alliance between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Turkey, built on trust, will have a key role in establishing and maintaining peace in the region,” Maqedonci wrote.

He added that military procurement, the development and strengthening of the defense industry, and joint training exercises are areas that have now entered a new stage of advancement.

“Military purchases, development and strengthening of the defense industry, joint training, as well as joint deployments and military missions are just some of the areas that have now moved into a new phase,” Maqedonci said.

This meeting highlights the growing strategic ties between Kosovo and Turkey in the field of defense, marking a step forward in bilateral cooperation and regional security engagement.
