Kosovo’s Minister of Defence, Ejup Maqedonci, emphasized the continued importance of Kosovo’s partnership with NATO and KFOR during his participation in the change-of-command ceremony at the Multinational Battle Group East, held at Camp Bondsteel.
The ceremony was attended by President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, highlighting the significance of the event for Kosovo’s national and regional security.
In his remarks, Maqedonci expressed gratitude to Colonel Jonathan Lloyd for his contributions and dedication during his tenure, and extended congratulations to Colonel Samuel Sargeant on assuming command of the mission.
“Thanks to Colonel Jonathan Lloyd for his commitment during his mandate, and best wishes to Colonel Samuel Sargeant as he takes on his new role,” Maqedonci wrote on Facebook.
He further stressed that Kosovo’s partnership with NATO and KFOR remains essential not only for the country’s security but also for its continued path toward Euro-Atlantic integration.
