Acting Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci has extended his congratulations on the 113th anniversary of Albania’s Independence, emphasizing the importance of Kosovo and Albania standing together as never before.
In a statement posted on Facebook, Maqedonci wrote:
“In a world where threats to peace and security are increasing, Kosovo and Albania must stand together like never before, to protect the values, identity, and shared dreams of our nation.”
He highlighted that November 28 is a day that unites the people through their roots, blood, and glorious history.
“On this special day, we remember Skanderbeg’s battles in Krujë, the sacred moment of the raising of the flag in Vlorë, the birth of Commander Adem Jashari, and the first public appearance of the UÇK. These events are not only history but part of our national spirit. From Prekaz, where one of the most poignant and radiant chapters of freedom was written, to our present-day forces, the successors of the UÇK, our journey is guided by the mandate: to love this land, protect this flag, and never forget the sacrifices that brought us here,” Maqedonci added.
This message underscores the historical and symbolic connection between Kosovo and Albania, calling for unity in safeguarding their shared heritage and sovereignty.
