Maqedonci: We Will Continue the Tradition of Cooperation with Turkey

Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci announced that he welcomed Major General Subutay Adaș, Chief of Operations at the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, in a meeting today.

In a post on the social network Facebook, Maqedonci stated that they discussed increasing cooperation between the two countries.

“As we approach the twenty-fifth anniversary of Kosovo’s liberation, I thanked General Adaș for honoring us by accepting the invitation to be present at the activities organized to mark this day, and I especially expressed gratitude for the support Turkey has offered to Kosovo over these years of state-building, particularly for the excellent cooperation we have in the field of defense.”

He emphasized the long-standing and fruitful partnership between Kosovo and Turkey, highlighting Turkey’s role in training and equipping the Kosovo Security Force (KSF). Maqedonci noted that this support has been pivotal in enhancing Kosovo’s defense capabilities and readiness.

“We will continue this tradition of cooperation in fulfilling our common goals and interests,” Maqedonci said. He also mentioned plans for future joint military exercises and defense projects that will further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two nations.

Maqedonci reiterated the importance of Turkey’s involvement in Kosovo’s journey towards NATO membership and expressed confidence that the mutual support would continue to bolster regional stability and security.
