The Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, delivered a special message on the occasion of the “Day of the Force,” addressing officers, non-commissioned officers, retired military personnel, and civilian staff. He stated that Kosovo’s army, built on foundations of blood and sacrifice, is today stronger than ever and enjoys respect across the world.
Maqedonci, highlighting the achievements of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), emphasized that the army is ready to defend Kosovo from any threat or danger.
“Dear active and reserve NCOs of the army today, retired military personnel, and you civilian officials who serve in the Kosovo Security Force, dear citizens of the Republic, today on the ‘Day of the Force,’ our hearts beat with a special pride. Today, we honor the extraordinary journey of the Kosovo Security Force — a force built on foundations of blood and the sacrifices of many generations — which continues to grow and earn the respect of all our allies across the world. The Kosovo Army is our success story, the dedication of every soldier, officer, and cadet who wakes up with one mission: the defense of the Republic of Kosovo,” Maqedonci declared.
He also spoke about the KSF’s modern equipment and new capabilities, stressing that Kosovo’s Force is advancing on all fronts.
“In these years of our joint work, through our shared efforts and commitment, we have strengthened and elevated the KSF like never before. With aircraft in the sky, rocket systems and artillery systems on the ground, armored vehicles on the roads, and modern infantry weapons and equipment, we are ensuring that our force boosts its combat capabilities and is ready to face any threat or danger that aims to endanger our territory and the lives of our citizens. Our army’s infrastructure is developing every day, with new training grounds and new military bases enabling advanced exercises and daily operations. Through personnel recruitment and investments in training and education, we are ensuring that skills and knowledge are connected with equipment and weaponry to successfully execute tactical missions. Today, the KSF is a force that is respected, taken seriously, and growing with dignity — developing side by side with our allies, making Kosovo stronger and safer than ever,” Maqedonci emphasized.
In the end, he highlighted the role of the soldiers in this journey.
“You soldiers are the heart of this achievement; you are the courage, discipline, and honor of the Republic of Kosovo. On this day, I want to tell you from the heart: we continue together with trust, courage, and love for this land. Happy Day of the Force — long live our army and our Republic,” Maqedonci concluded.
